Veronica Pretelt

Veronica is a Registered Accredited Psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and has over 15 years experience offering therapy to adults and children.

Veronica’s approach is Integrative: she has trained in several different therapeutic approaches and will combine those techniques and schools of practice to best help and support her clients. Her work is client-centred and strength based, maintaining focus not only on the difficulties people experience but also on their existing resources and preferred outlook on life. She believes in a caring and respectful approach to therapy, understanding that people have a variety of skills, values and beliefs that assist them in changing the relationship with the problems they face.

She has significant experience working with adults who are struggling with the aftermath of trauma, depression, anxiety, divorce, domestic violence, bereavement, addiction and relationship issues. In addition to her broad range of skills, for the past three years Veronica has been offering EMDR psychotherapy to clients who have experienced trauma.

One of her main passions is the work she does with parents. She is committed to early intervention and realizes that it is through working with parents and their relationship with their children that we will have more empathic, resilient, caring and productive individuals in our society.

Having trained and worked in different countries, Veronica is particularly receptive to the complexities of the multicultural society we live in. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
